Our Christmas Photo

Our annual Christmas family photo. And this is a unique one...our first one with Matthew, and the only one with only two kids!

A Dang Family Christmas

The Dang family got together on Christmas Day and enjoyed a beautiful spread done by Ba Noi (Grandma). Again, a great time with family. Mike, however, got sick on Christmas Eve, so he stayed in pajamas on the sofa. He always seems to get sick when he has a few days off!

An Ellison Family Christmas

We celebrated our family Christmas in pajamas over brunch at my sister's house. We had such a great time. The boys are all old enough to get excited over the presents and not old enough to pout if they didn't get what they wanted.

This is Mike's cousin, Deung (pronounced "Yeung") who recently came over from Vietnam to study English here. He is now living with us, and we really enjoy having him around. Caleb loves to wake up "Uncle Yeun-k" every morning.

Threesome

Three boys enjoy a meal together. We've been having Colton come over every day, but starting in January, he'll be going to daycare :( But hopefully we'll still be able to see him often.

A Magical First Christmas

This is Matthew's first Christmas with us. Last year, though, he was very much on our minds as we had just received our referral. But it is sort of special to have the Christmas "firsts" be witnessed by a 18 month old who is old enough to notice the wonder and magic of the season.

Today we bought our Christmas tree in the morning, and then, as we put the boys down for their nap, it snowed about 7 inches outside while I put up the tree. It was so magical to be able to wake Matthew up to a new world where snow painted a new world outside and lights twinkled in the living room. He was smitten.
