Morning Time
One of the things I love the most about this stage in our lives is living without alarm clocks. Actually, I have two...Matthew and Caleb. (Don't get me started on Kristina...she is a hyperactive alarm clock) Each morning the boys come down the hall, and we have about a half hour of family time before we get going for the day. Sometimes the boys cuddle, sometimes they play monkey bars with our stairstep machine, sometimes they just get into trouble...like Matthew bending my glasses today. But whatever happens, I am so glad to have such a wonderful way to wake up in the morning. I hope it will be a pleasant memory for the kids as well.

Kiddie Update...
Caleb - Still very much in love with HRM (Her Royal Majesty). He loves to hold her (very supervised.) While playing at the park this week with Lindsey and Matthew, he decided one area of the playground was a castle and declared himself "King Caleb", Lindsey as "Queen Lindsey", but Matthew was "Baby Princess".
Matthew - They warned us that cleft lip/palate kids have ear infections a lot, and I was starting to think they were talking about every other kid, but sure enough Matthew got double ear infections. Does it look like I have nothing to do? We are actually all (except the baby, thank God) sick to one degree or another. Matthew is a tough cookie, though, and rarely complains about anything other than Mom leaving the room.
HRM Kristina - She is, I believe, finally starting to plump up a bit. She sleeps well during the day, but at night loves to wake up every other hour precisely to eat. She really is a good little baby, except she insists on sleeping with Mom at night. She is perfecting her Oscar-worthy performance of "I'm trying to pooh!" What drama!
Frankly, Momma here is scared to think about taking care of all three munchkins by myself week after next, but I'm just taking it one day at a time, refusing to take on tomorrow's worries today. Keep us in your prayers, though.
My hubby, btw, has been the best hubby in the world during this post-partum period. He has really stepped up and taken on the burden of three kids on himself as well. He bathes the boys, entertains them, disciplines them, loves them...and has treated me like the Queen Bee. He has totally fallen for his new little girl...he is such a proud Daddy. (She is going to be so spoiled.) I am so blessed to be married to such a great husband and father.

When Mollusks Fly...

My Dad and my Uncle Ben have been working on designing and building an amphibious aircraft for the past 15 years. Today, no pun intended, their dream took flight.
The Gweduck, so the aircraft is named, can be seen on this youtube video...http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mHc5U7VPnmU
We all went down to see it, but since it was February and we do live in Seattle...it was too darn cold to enjoy too much.
I can't begin to say how proud I am of my Dad and Uncle. This is a huge accomplishment! Here's wishing the Gweduck a long and successful career!
