Kristina's Nursery

We are finally done with Kristina's nursery. It is so much fun doing a girl's nursery after years of blue. Mike was quite particular about how this room was going to be. When it came to the boys, he let me more or less do the boys' rooms however I wanted. This was his daughter, and she was not going to have anything less than what her Daddy thought would be perfect for her. Part splurge, part Craigslist, it is finally done.

But she's still sleeping in Mom and Dad's room in her carseat.

Where in the World is Matthew?

Matthew is sometimes found sleeping in odd positions. Sometimes on the floor, sometimes under a table, usually in bed, but apparently sometimes his post-bedtime antics wear him out before he makes it back to his post.

Yes, this is him sleeping under Caleb's bed. Really.

This one is him hiding in Kristina's clothing hamper, not sleeping, just escaping Mommy's tickles.

Easter Egg Hunt

Can you believe it? This is the first Easter for two of our kids. (I'm pretty sure they didn't have a Egg Hunt at Tam Binh 2 last year.)

We spent a lovely Saturday at Katie and Steven Bishop's house and the boys, including cousin Colton, made out like sugar-high bandits. Colton and Caleb were actually pretty distracted, but it was Matthew who was determined to load up his Elmo basket, and while I'd unload his eggs, he'd fill it up with more.

Caleb was, as aforementioned, distracted things like Colton's airplane. So he needed to find eggs the quick way...steal them from Colton's stash.

Kristina's Day Thang Party

It is a Vietnamese tradition to celebrate the one month birthday. I've heard a few versions of why...if the baby makes it to the first month, they will likely live. I've also heard that it is because traditionally the mother secludes herself at home for the first month eating special foods and not bathing, so it is her celebration of rejoining society. I certainly bathed every day and did my share of getting out of the house, so obviously, I'm not a very good at this tradition.

We had family over from both sides and had a blast.

Photo Shoot

Today I have determined to get photos for the birth announcement. So under our skylights on our stairs, Kristina got about 400 photos taken (I am quite an amateur, plus, she isn't the most cooperative model). Here are a couple I loved that didn't make the announcement.
